X Factor cull leaves final twelve
October 5, 2009
The agonizing decisions have been made and the wait is now over for fans of the X Factor as the final twelve have been chosen. The pressure is now on as the contestants will be battling to stay on the show in front of live audiences. Even the usually cool Simon Cowell said that making the decision as to who would stay and who would be asked to walk away was horrible. He said that it was an awful feeling having to tell a contestant who has trusted you throughout that they would now have to leave.
Two of the contestants who have already flopped in the music industry were told that once again, this was the end of the line. Both Daniel Pearce who was once in the band One True Voice and Stacey McClean formally with S Club Juniors were told that they could now go home. Over twenty-five percent of those hoping to go through to the live finals had already been in the music business or featured on another television talent show. This has led some critics to say that perhaps the amount of talent shows in the U.K. has drained the talent pool leading to too much recycling of already recognizable faces.
