Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins no longer together

Hollywood couple Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon allegedly split from each other in the summer. The news has come as a shock to many. Sarandon’s publicist has only just made the news official, but other than saying that the pair were no longer together no further information was divulged. Robbins and Sarandon were seen by many as one of Hollywood’s major success stories when it came to relationships. The couple had been with each other for twenty-three years and although they never actually tied the knot they have two children, 17-year-old Miles and 20-year-old Jack. Susan Sarandon also has a 24-year old daughter from a previous relationship.
The couple got together on the set of the film Bull Durham and are very well known for their political views off the sound stage. The couple’s political activism was strongest when it came to the U.S. led invasion of Iraq and George W. Bush’s tenure in general.
Both actors have won Academy Awards. Robbins achieved his for his role in the Clint Eastwood directed drama, Mystic River and Sarandon won her gong for her performance in the 1995 film Dead Man Walking. The actress is known for many exceptional performances not least her role in the highly acclaimed film Thelma and Louise.
