Robbie Williams to rejoin Take That
September 28, 2009
Recent reports suggest that Robbie Williams is finally ready to rejoin his old band mates in Take That. The five original members of the band are said to be together in a New York recording studio working on new songs. Robbie recently flew to New York to attend Mark Owen’s stag do and now the quintet are said to be back at work together.
In a recent radio interview Robbie said that he wanted to make sure that his most recent album was completed before going off to team up with his old mates. It is the first time in fourteen years that the band have got together to work on new material after Robbie decided to leave at the height of the bands original success.
A source has said that the band are in New York putting the finishing touches to a live album and are taking the opportunity to see if they can come up with some new material. Robbie has said that he would not be comfortable performing the bands songs that he did not contribute any writing to, but has been hinting over the past few months that he was keen to get back onto a stage with Take That.
Robbie will be back on stage in the U.K. as a solo performer for the first time in three years at Camden’s Roundhouse next month and there are also rumours circulating that all five members of Take That could make an appearance together at a Children In Need event also scheduled for next month.
