New Michael Jackson album goes on release

A new Michael Jackson album has just been released which features classic versions of some of his best known hits as well as some previously un-released versions and some new material. The two-disk album is entitled This Is It after the fifty date final tour he was supposed to kick off in London just weeks after he died. The release of the album coincides with a week long celebration of the singer’s life. A television programme is due to be broadcast later in the week which is a documentary about Michael Jackson and will go out simultaneously around the world. The programme will feature the songs that are on the new album. People who purchase the new recordings will also get a 32 page book of photographs including some taken during the singers final rehearsals for the This Is It Tour.
The single This Is It was released after Michael Jackson’s death and was apparently a tune he wrote with singer Paul Anka back in 1983. The new album also features a poem read by the singer entitled Planet Earth.
For those who can’t get enough of Michael Jackson there is also an exhibition of old memorabilia going on display in the capital this week. Visitors will be able to see various items that used to belong to the singer such as a Rolls Royce and one of his signature white gloves. Many of Michael Jackson’s old hits were given a new lease of life by his death with a number of the most popular shooting up the charts.
