New insurance offer to cover foreign students in the U.K.

Mondial Assistance, a travel insurer has just launched a new insurance policy especially tailored to meet the needs of the U.K.’s 500,000 overseas students who come to the U.K. every year to further their education. The new scheme is called Wander International Student Insurance and offers comprehensive cover to students when they are in the U.K. or when they travel to Europe on educational trips.
The insurance policy aims to offer the highest levels of medical assistance to students not only when they are in the U.K. but when they travel abroad and takes advantage of Mondial’s global network of twenty-four hour assistance services and offers access to 180 technical and medical experts around the globe.
As well as the comprehensive health cover Wander International Student Insurance will make sure that students are fully covered even for the journey back to their home countries. The insurance will also cover the cost of any lost fees a student may incur if they are unable to complete the course. If a relative is ill then the cover will make sure the student can return home or if the student is ill it will cover getting a relative to the U.K.
The insurance will also make sure that legal expenses are covered should a student require legal help whilst in the U.K. or abroad and lost passports and luggage will also be taken care of. There are also optional extras if required including cover for sporting injuries or loss of sporting equipment.
