Louis Walsh to look after Jedward’s career
December 4, 2009
Even though they have been voted off the X Factor John and Edward Grimes, the Irish twins known as Jedward, have managed to secure a contract with their mentor Louis Walsh who will now manage their careers. Walsh has managed to sign the pair to Global Group after coming to an agreement with Modest Management which has contracts with the twelve finalists on X Factor. Modest say that they will still look after all of the shows other finalists.
Global Group chief executive, Ashley Tabor said that it was exciting to be able to represent Jedward and that they had been a phenomenon on the show. Tabor continued to say that the pair had a very promising career ahead of them.
Louis Walsh said that even though many people doubted the pair’s singing ability they had managed to prove themselves by getting so far on the show. He predicts that they both have promising careers ahead of them and that although he could not say much at the present time he was looking into television deals as well as opportunities to further their musical careers.
Jedward were voted off the X Factor after the public voted for them to stay on despite their dubious singing talent. Simon Cowell, one of the X Factor judges, initially said that he would book a ticket on a plane out of the U.K. if the pair managed to scoop the shows top prize but then back tracked admitting that the twins had a bizarre likeability factor.
