British Rail offers transport links to Waterloo and Victoria, the station just 5 minutes walk away and the mainline tube is a short ride on the bus to Hammersmith (Zone 2), Richmond or Putney. Barnes has gift shops galore with excellent pavement cafes or restaurants to retire to afterwards and often many a celebrity can be seen wandering amongst the locals. Good access to Roehampton University and Hammersmith Hospital, Putney and Richmond.
The B & B (bed and breakfast) is in a stylish, non smoking family home close to Barnes Bridge Station, (17 minutes Waterloo, Gatwick 40 minutes). 10 minute bus ride to Hammersmith, where there are tube trains to centre of London and Heathrow Airport – (20 minutes to Piccadilly) Twin or single room, en suite also available. Will let rooms as a single if available. A continental breakfast included. TV, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers in all rooms. Barnes is famous for the Oxford and Cambridge boat race, and the Wetlands bird sanctuary. There is a direct bus to Wandsworth.
