Katie Price quits the jungle

Katie Price has fled the jungle after being repeatedly elected to take part in the show’s bushtucker challenges by the viewers of I’m a Celebrity… The model quit the show after refusing to take part in a challenge alongside boxer Joe Bugner. The challenge was called ‘Brad Pitt’ but Katie Price said that she would not do it and that it was time that someone else did a challenge. The bushtucker trial was her seventh since joining the show.
Price said that she had decided to quit because she didn’t want to be on the reality show anymore. She said that she had proven to the public that she was a genuine person by taking part in all the trials and that she also missed her children. She continued to point out that winning the show had never been her intention and that it had also never been about the huge amount of money she had been paid to appear in the Australian outback with the other contestants.
Yesterday morning ITV was able to confirm that Katie Price had quit I’m a Celebrity… and that at present there are no plans in place to send in a replacement.
In 2004 Katie Price went into the jungle for the first time. It was on the show that she met Peter Andre whom she later married and had two children with. Since then the pair have been involved in a very public divorce and public relations battle which has seen Katie’s reputation take a bit of a thrashing.
