Jimmy Choo shoe frenzy as new range launched at H&M

November 19, 2009

H&M’s Regent Street store was a scene of female frenzy when it recently launched its range of Jimmy Choo shoes and accessories to the public. Hundreds of shoe-obsessed women queued for hours in miserable weather waiting for the H&M flagship store to open so that they could at last get their hands on Jimmy Choo for H&M shoes, accessories and clothes. Spirits were high as those lining up for their bargains braved the rain.

One lady, who had been in the queue since 5am, said that she had laid eyes on a pair of Jimmy Choos for the first time as a 16-year-old in New York. She went on to say that ever since that epiphany she has wanted to own a pair of the designer shoes. Kate Smith a self-confessed shoe lover and owner of over two-hundred pairs said she had been queuing all night with her fiancé, Will Cubberley for the chance to get her hands on some shoes, sandals and a jumpsuit. Mr. Cubberley didn’t really understand the fuss but said that someone had to be there to look at his heel obsessed girlfriend.

When the doors did finally open after a countdown shouted by the waiting crowd all gloves were off. Store manager Lucy Stewart said that she had never seen anything like it. Nine security guards had been brought in to control the shoe hungry scrum and shoes and handbags were penned off so that only twenty customers at a time had access for a maximum of ten minutes each. Many customers walked away with a pair of dream shoes at a bargain price.
