Jenson button puts his Bugatti up for sale
October 22, 2009
New Formula 1 racing world champion, Jenson Button has put his Bugatti Veyron up for sale. The vehicle is said to be in stunning condition according to an advert posted on the website of car sellers Auto Trader. The website claims that they will soon be able to authenticate the two previous owners of that car but already say that one was a current Formula 1 racing driver. The car was first put up for sale with an asking price of nearly £900,000 in August and is expected to get more interest from prospective buyers now that they know it once belonged to the British racing champion.
The black Bugatti Veyron can reach 253 miles-per-hour and will go from 0 to 63 miles-per-hour in just 2.5 seconds. The £895,000 car is said to only have 1,500 miles on the clock. Jenson Button clinched the title of world champion in the Brazilian Grand Prix at the weekend with one race to spare. He is also putting up for auction the racing suit he wore when he won the Turkish Grand Prix. All profits from the sale will be given to the National Blind Children’s Society and the auction, currently taking place on the charity’s website, will go on until 15th December this year.
