Jedward voted off X Factor

November 23, 2009

Simon Cowell has been saved a flight out of the U.K. as Jedward are finally voted off the X Factor. The judge had announced earlier in the series that if the pair won the competition he would be on the first flight out of the country. However there has been an obvious warming towards the Irish twins over the past few weeks and last night Cowell actually said the he would miss John and Edward Grimes.

The pair once again found themselves holding on by their fingernails as they were voted into the bottom two. This time they were up against Olly Murs who is one of the favourites to take the X Factor crown for the show’s sing off. The pair chose to sing Boyzone’s ‘No Matter What’ and their performance did not involve their usual jumping around the stage. This was a pity for them as some jumping around the stage may have helped disguise the fact that they really are not very good at singing. Olly Murs on the other hand produced a very passable version of Eric Clapton’s ‘Wonderful Tonight’.

Although they were voted off by all the judges except for mentor Louis Walsh, the pair kept smiling as they talked about the X Factor experience being the best of their lives. They said that being able to come onto the show every week and perform live was amazing. Fans of the twins will now get to see if their popularity will be enough to take them further on their musical dream.
