Homebase launches biggest ever home and garden survey

October 15, 2009

Do it yourself giant Homebase has just launched what it is calling the biggest ever survey of the U.K.’s home and gardens. Home Retail Group who owns Homebase hopes that the survey will reveal the country’s tastes when it comes to what people want from and do to their houses and gardens.

The survey is being launched alongside the company’s loyalty partner Nectar and it is hoped that it will reach around 6 million people.

Richard Bruce, head of multichannel and loyalty at Homebase says the company is perfectly positioned to divine the tastes and attitude of the country’s public when it came to how they behaved in relation to houses and gardens. He goes on to point out that the survey is not just to look into how the recent global economic situation has affected things but also what people will be looking for as they head into the future.

The online survey can be found at nectar.com/homesurvey and will give those who spend the time answering the Homebase questionnaire the opportunity to find out exactly what type of gardener or DIYer they are classed as. Depending on how customers answer they could be classed as a green gardener, a DIY nut or simply as a bodger.
