Corey Feldman Discusses Corey Haim with Larry King
March 12, 2010
Actor Corey Feldman appeared on Larry King Live Wednesday night to talk about Corey Haim, his best friend who died earlier that day. He expressed his frustration during the interview about how the media is speculating that his death was caused by an overdose of drugs.
The 38-year-old said that people should stop jumping the gun, saying that Haim died from an overdose and making up other theories as to how it happened. He added that they won’t know the cause of death until after the coroner’s report comes out, along with the toxicology results and specific evidence proving the cause.
Haim passed away at about 2:15am (PT) on Wednesday after suffering flu-like symptoms for 2 days. He was taking over-the-counter and prescription medications for it, as well as other prescriptions as part of his sobriety program. There weren’t any illicit drugs found in his apartment.
Also during the interview, Feldman told King that he was shocked about Haim’s death, as they had only talked 3 or 4 days ago. He was actually getting advice from his friend about something he was upset about, which he says Haim was being very positive about. Feldman also mentioned that the two were in talks for filming a sequel to License to Drive, which would have been a trilogy starring the two.
Feldman also appeared on The Early Show Thursday morning. There he said again that he doesn’t believe Haim died from an intentional overdose.
