Charlie Sheen’s wife hopes for reconciliation

January 5, 2010

According to Brooke Mueller’s mother her daughter is keen to try and patch up her relationship with actor Charlie Sheen. The pair have not spoken to each other since Christmas Day when the Two And A Half Men star allegedly threatened his wife with a knife. Sheen is currently facing charges of menacing and criminal mischief as well as second-degree assault. Following the incident a restraining order was put in place meaning that the couple are not allowed to communicate with one another. Mueller is apparently still staying in the apartment the pair rented over Christmas in Aspen. Sheen meanwhile has allegedly returned to California where he has resumed work on his sitcom.

On December 30th Mueller’s legal team asked for a lifting of the restraining order so that the couple could discuss how best to resolve the situation. Moira Fiore, Mueller’s mother has spoken about how her daughter wants to reconcile with Sheen but points out that she is not so sure it is a brilliant idea. She went on to say that she had tried to communicate her reservations to her daughter but that she refused to listen. A hearing was set by the courts to look into the lifting of the restraining order yesterday but has since been postponed until January 11th. Following the incident between Sheen and Mueller a tape was released of the telephone call she made to police where she is heard telling an officer that Sheen had threatened her and that he was in possession of a knife.
