Celebrities join the hunt for missing Londoner
November 26, 2009
Celebrities David Mitchell and Claudia Winkleman have joined an appeal for information about missing Londoner John Regan. The thirty-year-old went missing at around midnight on November 18th and nothing has been heard from him since. Mitchell and Winkleman have been using Facebook and Twitter to publicise Regan’s disappearance in the hope that somebody can shed some light on the mystery.
John Regan had been out with friends in Camden in north London just before he went missing. Police have managed to get hold of security camera footage which shows him walking past Stables Market at 1.30 in the morning. A friend of Mr. Regan says that although he was turned away from a venue called Bartok for being intoxicated he had not been drinking heavily. Ms. O’Rourke, who had been with Mr. Regan earlier in the evening, says that he may have been jet lagged as he had flown back from America earlier in the day.
Ms. O’Rourke said that Mr. Regan had been in a very good mood and that the pair of them had spent the evening talking about his recent holiday. Police divers have been searching the canal that runs through Camden but say that so far they have come up with nothing related to Mr. Regan’s disappearance. Camden police are asking anyone who may remember seeing Mr. Regan, who was wearing a navy blue jumper with a pink skull motif on it, to come forward. They are particularly keen to speak to two unicyclists who were filmed beside Mr. Regan as he walked past Stables Market.
