Average house price of 5.4 million pounds on country’s most expensive street

Wycombe Square in the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea has been named the most expensive place to buy a house in Britain. According to Halifax the average price of a house will set buyers back a cool £5.4 million. Kensington and Chelsea boast half of the twenty most expensive streets on which to buy a house in the whole of the country and all of the ten most expensive streets are to be found within the capital. Leatherhead in Surrey is the next most expensive place to live outside of the London area with a house on Moles Hill costing an average of £2.6 million. The next most expensive address is also in Leatherhead where a house on Leys Road will cost buyers £2.5 million. Also costing around £2.5 million is a house purchased on Woodlands Road West in Virginia Water which is also in Surrey.
Moving away from the south east of the country the average price of houses begins to drop. The next most expensive place to acquire a property is in Macclesfield where a home on Withinlee Road will cost an average of £1.2 million. Altrincham in Cheshire has the next most expensive roads in the country with a house on Park Lane costing around £1.2 million and a house on Eyebrook road costing £1.1 million.
In Wales the most expensive street is in Cardiff’s Old St. Mellons area. Houses on Druidstone Road can be picked up for an average of £621,000.
